The map
Kettlewood has a live map: map.kettlewood.org. It opens in any browser, on a computer or a phone, no account needed.
Three maps
The main world, the Nether and the End, each drawn from the real blocks. Pick one in the menu. The Diggings isn't on the map: it's renewed every month.
Three ways to look
- 3D view: the town in perspective, as if from a hill. Drag to turn, scroll to zoom.
- Flat view: from straight above, like a paper map. Handy to find your way or plan a trip.
- Free flight: fly anywhere like a spectator, close enough to look in through the windows.
The map follows the world: what you build shows up on it after a while, without anyone doing anything.
What's marked
- Built by the town: each decoration the town built after a town order.
- ❖ Name over a plot or a shop: the plot of a Notable who chose to show it (
/maptitle offtakes it down, see Ranks & titles).
Who you can see on it
Players who are online right now appear on the map with their name, where they are, and anyone can see it. When you log off, you disappear from the map; your trips are not recorded. A player drinking a potion of invisibility doesn't show up; crouching doesn't hide you.
The map is part of what makes a town: see who's at the market before you walk over, or show a friend where you live. It's in the privacy policy, section 9.
