Ranks & titles

The town hall, the Founders' Wall is on its forecourt.

Ranks are how Kettlewood pays its server bill. They're cosmetic: a little symbol in chat, colours, poses, sparkles and small comforts, never power, never Embers, never extra homes.

Prices include VAT. Everything that matters in Kettlewood is earned by playing; ranks only add style.

The ranks

What it looks like in chat

One small symbol before your name; the same ❖ for both ranks, only the colour changes; the rank's name is never written. Staff show [Staff]. There's nothing floating over anyone's head.

Founders, a title nobody can buy

On the web map

A Notable who owns a plot or a shop in town shows as ❖ Name over it on the web map, in a “Notables of Kettlewood” layer visitors can hide. /maptitle off takes you off the map; /maptitle on puts you back.

Nicknames

Letters, numbers and _, 3 to 16 characters; your real name shows when someone hovers over it. Names that look like staff, the server or another player are refused, if you think that's a mistake, ask a member of staff.
