Server bonuses & contributions

A server bonus is bought by one player and enjoyed by everyone online: an hour of double XP, fair weather, a festival on the square… It's the other way Kettlewood pays its server.

The bonuses

How it works

• It starts as soon as it's paid, or right after the bonus that's running: there's one bonus at a time. /boost shows what's on, what's next and until when.
• At most 3 hours of bonuses a day; when the day is full, the store says so before you pay.
• Everyone sees who made it happen; only if the buyer chose to show their name.
• Fair for everyone: doubles count for what a player does themselves, mobs you kill, crops you harvest by hand, fish you catch, not for farms or while AFK. Double ore is only in the Diggings, and never for ore placed by hand. Double counter prices pays twice as much per item, but the 150 ✦ daily limit stays: you sell half as much for the same Embers.
• The weekly bonus won at the mob party is never one of the bonuses sold here, so the two always add up.

Contributions

• A contribution is an evening bonus share in the store: 5 € each, as many as you like. It's not a donation: it's a payment to the company that runs Kettlewood, with no tax benefit.
• Contributions fill a shared gauge: every 20 €, the whole server gets an evening bonus. 3 hours of one of the 2.50 € bonuses, drawn at random, starting at 8 pm (Central European time).

The rent bar

Every purchase also fills the rent bar: the server's monthly bill plus the store's fees, about 97 €. /goal shows how far we've got this month. When it's full, there's a festival over the square for a few days, and beyond, something new for the town.
