The staff

Kettlewood is small and run by real people. Here is who they are and the rules they play by.

Who

• TalTalot, the founder. Built the town, runs the server, answers reports and appeals. Shows [Staff] in chat.

That's the whole staff for now, and we'd rather say so than list names that don't exist. More people will join from the community over time; they'll be listed here, with their in-game name, the day they join.

What the staff may do

• Warn, mute and ban, following rule 9 (a warning, then a mute, then a temporary ban, then a permanent one; serious breaches can skip steps).
• Undo griefing and theft with the block log.
• Look after the town: build, repair, place what the town needs.

What the staff may not do

• Use staff powers to play. No creative mode, spawned items, flying or teleporting for their own builds, money or fun. In survival, the staff play like everyone else, and every use of a staff power is recorded in the staff log.
• Give anything to friends, or treat a friend differently in a report.
• Sanction without a reason: every sanction is written down, and the reason is recorded with it.
• Read your private messages, except to look into a report that involves them.

Everything is recorded

Every sanction and every staff command that affects players (bans, mutes, rollbacks, permissions, gamemode, items, teleports) is written to a staff log, with who, when and the exact command. The log can only be added to: each line carries a fingerprint of the one before, so a line changed or removed afterwards breaks the chain, and a check runs every week. It's what we read when you appeal a decision.
